Use of inhaled corticosteroids is not associated with increased risk of fractures in children with asthma says a study published online on November 13 2017 in JAMA Pediatrics. In this population based nested case control study no significant associations between current recent or past use of inhaled corticosteroids and first fracture after asthma diagnosis were observed in these children. But use of systemic corticosteroids was found to increase the risk of fractures.
